Day 10-11 - Freiburg with Carla and Lucile

I spent the past 2 days in Freiburg with Carla and Lucile, two friends from Toronto. We stayed at Carla's apartment in the city which was nice and close to everything. Although it was raining the first day I was there Carla gave us a tour of the city which was awesome. It was very different from France and the old German architecture was amazing. We also walked up Schlossberg to get a good view over the city.

In the afternoon we drove up into the Black Forest where we stopped and had some Black Forest Cherry Cake. We then went up to the top but could not see anything due to the weather although the trees did look quite cool and mysterious through the fog. That night we had cocktails and headed to a Mexican bar for drinks with Carla's friends.

Our second day in Freiburg was much nicer weather and we wandered around the city some more and grabbed some food before it was time to part ways. It was great to catch up with Carla and Lucile again and I am very grateful for them letting me stay! Hopefully I will get to see them again soon.
