We arrived early at around 6am to Nha Trang, we couldn't check in yet as our rooms weren't ready but they did have a big storage room used by our tour group all year round so we dumped out stuff and went out to find breakfast and have a stroll around town while they got our rooms sorted.
I ended up walking to the beach and had a look around there stopping off at a cafe where I bought delicious banana pancakes with lime mmm. After a walk around I headed to the hotel to put my stuff away and get ready for my activity for the day which was going to a health spa for the day.
Our group drove out of town to a place near the jungle, I felt we may end up getting kidnapped by mountain gorillas or something.
This place was swanky; lovely landscaped gardens, bridges and streams. We headed up some stairs once we had got changed into our swimming costumes to have a go in a mud bath. One of our group said they had head it's really hot so we were thinking we were going to get burnt but the mud was lukewarm at best. The mud was strange, it left us all nice and shiny and had bits of sand in it that scrapped our pours and it was very relaxing. I can see how pigs like to roll around it all day long!
We had a quick shower and headed to the heated baths where we laid there for about an hour and then headed to the pool.
I ordered some bbq pork which others also fancied once it came out, it was really really nice with sweet and sour sauce on a skewer. I also got some ice tea which in hindsight was a bad idea as for the first time in about a year I saw my first wasp, make that 3-4 of the little b*****s who then for the rest of the day decided they would do their usual thing and bully me to running away like a little girl screaming.
We headed back to the hotel afterwards and on the way stopped to view a temple briefly, built in the 7th century.
It was dinner time so we went to a Chinese restaurant called lanterns. It was the most impressive restaurant we have been at so far, with a little mini stream you had to cross two steps to enter it. I had chicken with cashew nuts which as always with food on this holiday ridiculously amazing and sweet.
I then headed for a few drinks and then to bed for another day in the town.
