We left Hoi An at around 9am. I feel sorry to leave this place, it was so cool but we did do everything there was to see so it was time to move on.
We are traveling to Hue, a small town further north of Vietnam, it should take 4-5 hours.
The ride to Hue was amazing, I mean the best driving views I have ever seen in my life, I could have sworn some of the roads were the ones featured in the Top Gear special I saw once. Lovely mountains, far reaching shore views, trees growing everywhere up tall hills and cliff sides; every minute you felt you wouldn't see anything as good but it was just better and better driving through the mountains. At one of our stops for some scenic shots there was a wedding going on so I took a few shots of the bride and groom for a bit of local photography.
I arrived at Hue at around 1 so it was time for a quick lunch as we had an activity at 2, so I popped to the nearest cafe and had a grilled cheese and chicken sandwich.
Today I am riding on a motorbike/scooter doing a four hour your of Hue and the surrounding area, going to all the sights, local villages, dirty roads etc.
As a first time rider I was nervous and grabbed a hold of the driver for the first few minutes until I settled in and then used the back hand rest. My driver was a sweet older man who didn't understand a word of English but could tell funny moments like when I started high fiving little kids as we drove past.
