Its our last day in America today - we fly to Fiji at 11pm which is a mammoth 12 hour flight! LA was very strange. For the first 2 days i didnt really like it - its very different to most places ive been to. We got here the first day and met Mark in the airport which was funny. Hello again.. We left San Francisco and got our last train down to San Deigo. San Diego is hot! Time is going quick - America is flying by! We are currently at Trudy and Lindas house in San Francisco (well actually Redwood City just outside of San Francisco!). Well - we survived the BEAST - somehow! I dont know how we did it but 50 hour wasnt actually as bad as i thought! I took so many pictures during the journey there is enough for a whole album - the views etc were ace. We went through loads of national parks then up through the Rockie mountains and went through loads of really deep snow at the glacier parks then sunshine again. Madness! They had an observation carriage on the train which was like a big green house ...

We left Toronto and got the train down to Buffalo on thursday - when we got to Buffalo we had to wait for 12 hours until we could get the connecting train to chicago! The only place near us was a shopping mall so we went and spent the day there! 12 hours is a long time to spena in a mall - especially when you dont even like shopping! I got so bored that i went crazy and bought a nintendo DS - they are loads cheaper over here though and it will help keep me sane ...
