Its our last day in America today - we fly to Fiji at 11pm which is a mammoth 12 hour flight!

LA was very strange. For the first 2 days i didnt really like it - its very different to most places ive been to. We got here the first day and met Mark in the airport which was funny. We are tanned compared to him - yes!

We went to our hostel which is really nice - lots going on and its right on hollywood boulevard where all the stars are on the pavement. To be honest though thats a bit of a dissapointment - its just an average pavement with a few stars on - not very glamorous really.

We have seen the hollywood sign but only from far away so far - we are going to hike up to it today i think. Yesterday we hiked up the steepest hill ever - it was more of a mountain really. The views over LA were amazing though.

The nightlife in LA is really not my kind of thing - if you're not into hip hop and R&B then you wont really like it - all the places were the same really. We managed to find 1 bar which played good music however!

Venice Beach was really cool - nice beach and lots going on! The People doing all the weights etc were really funny and just posed for pictures all the time! It really is a place where people just go to be seen. We didnt see any celebs but im a bit rubbish with celebs anyway so i might have done for all i know!

I have to go now as time is running out! Am very much looking forward to Fiji!

To the family - thanks for all your messages - and mums friend Diane! I liked reading them. And Georgie - i know what you mean about the toilets! Why the hell is there a gap?!! Not impressed with that!
