18th -19th September 2009 After a day in Blackall we started our trip to Rockhampton to visit my mum and my sister Nicole and her family. We decided to make a stop at one of the towns in the gem fields as neither Matt nor myself had been there before. We stopped at Rubyvale and spent the night at the caravan park. 4th November 2009 - 13th December 2009 We headed back to Melbourne where we spent a bit over a week before taking a detour from our trip and heading to South Africa for 4 weeks for Mel's cousins wedding. 13th December - 17th June 2010 Well we returned to Melbourne for 3 weeks and 6 months later we are still here!But we are planning to head off again within the next week..........so stay tuned for more of Matt and Mel's Aussie Adventures!

31st October - 3rd November 2009 We started our journey back to Melbourne today and stopped off for a few days at 'Wycombe", a farm owned by Mel's family friends and former neighbours.We spent a few days at Wycombe with Mel showing Matt the farm she grew up on and with Matt playing farm hand and giving Henry and Johnny a helping hand on the farm.Matt also spent a bit of time playing with John and Therese sons Harry and Charlie riding motorbikes etc.I think ...

20th -30th September 2009 We spent a week in Rocky with my family and Matt's mum Jill who flew up from Melbourne to spend a week with us.From here we headed south to Toowoomba where we spent 5 weeks working and catching up with friends and family.

15th September 2009 Back to Blackall we go via the back roads.Our first stop was at a lookout not far out of Boulia which was at the top of a hill and had nice views of the surrounding area.From here we turned south and headed across the farm paddocks to Old Cork station - John Williamson sings about Old Cork Station in one of his songs so we thought we would drive past for a look.From here we travelled the Cork - Jundah Road to Lark Quarry Conservation Reserve ...
