A bit of a late start today as Matt had to fix a bracket on the suspension then we bumped across the dirt until we hit the bitumen about 80km's later.Aaaah heaven!And so quiet!All easy highway driving from here!A few hours later we hit the Northern Territory border,time for a quick photo stop before pulling in to Kulgera Roadhouse for the night.We arrived at about 3pm and the place was packed!We found a site, set up camp and were going to go and have a beer until we discovered that the back door of the car wouldn't open.This was a real problem as we couldn't get anything out and we couldn't access the fridge and there was no other way in (unless we smashed a window which wouldn't have helped us much anyway).But Mr Fix-it Matt was on the job!He managed to get the inside of the door apart and find the problem but he couldn't get his arm in far enough to fix it!Thankfully his wonderful wife has much smaller hands and arms and she was able to save the day!So Mel got the door open and then Matt fixed it so that now it works perfectly.We certainly needed a shower and a beer after that job - we had black greasy stuff all up our arms!
