In Hangzhou
We set off at 6am yesterday morning and took the 6 hour train journey to Hangzhou. We arrived at midday and had some free time to do our own thing.
Today, again there was another optional bike ride; some of it was through tea plantations which would have been lovely but some on the busy mad roads. Again, I chickened out; mainly because I'm not an experienced cyclist and although would ride a bike again would rather start off somewhere a little less frenetic.
We spent the afternoon walking around the picturesque West Lake area. Tomorrow we take the short journey to Shanghai where our tour ends on Sunday.
I'll write in a few days as I realise we haven't done much and this is a bit boring. We'll just be spending the next couple of days looking for a hostel in Shanghai for after Sunday, doing laundry and attempting to buy train tickets to Hanoi (after having decided to skip Hong Kong; it's expensive and we figure we can do that as a stopover at some point in the future).
