We had a good 6 hour drive from Mallacoota to Melbourne, so we headed off early on Friday morning. We had been so good with our speed the entire way, knowing that the Aussie Traffic Cops are strict, but ended up getting caught by a camera when overtaking....we await the damage!! We arrived into the city at about 3.30pm, and after dropping the car off, waiting to meet Irene. She picked us up in the city - in the luxury of a cab - think the taxi driver got a shock...

Downunder....Our first week or so was spent in Sydney. We checked into our hotel (the Jolly Swagman), along with a couple of the dodgiest people on earth, and spent a few days organising our itinerary for our time in Australia. We visited the Opera House and saw the bridge and the Rocks area and also went to Bondi Beach. We arrived in Fiji at 5am, having crossed the dateline and missed Monday 17 September 2007! We were picked up and later dropped off at the harbour where we boarded for our transfer to the Manta Ray Island Resort. The transfer took a good 3 hours but the scenery was beautiful along the way, and we knew that we were in for something special! Landing on the beach, we were greeted by singing and a loud 'bula' (greeting) from the staff. We were literally in paradise....

We arrived in LA with the flu!!! So our sightseeing was slightly hampered and it meant that we spent a lot of time in our hotel watching TV! Just shows you what a few days at Disney can do to you, we must be getting old! We did stay at a hotel right on Hollywood Boulevard so saw the stars on the pavement and also happened to see a movie being shot. They were shooting a Will Smith Movie (MIB?!) and had dug up the road and strewn expensive, crashed cars on the road...

We arrived in Anaheim at about 7.30pm and ended up walking for about an hour to get to our hotel! This was by default as our taxi driver turned out to be the only rude person we had met in the US and we decided that we would rather walk!! Luckily, we walked in the right direction and ended up finding our hotel eventually - albeit with sore backs!! Monday dawned and we were off to Disney!!
