We arrived in Anaheim at about 7.30pm and ended up walking for about an hour to get to our hotel! This was by default as our taxi driver turned out to be the only rude person we had met in the US and we decided that we would rather walk!! Luckily, we walked in the right direction and ended up finding our hotel eventually - albeit with sore backs!!
Monday dawned and we were off to Disney!! I had been looking forward to this day for the last 25 years at least, so it was really exciting! And we were not disappointed. From the minute we walked in, we were in another world and it is so impressive!!! On our first day we went to Tomorrowland, Fantasy Land, Toontown and Frontier Land.....we went on as many rides as we could, and luckily we hardly had any queues as schools had already gone back. In New Orleans Land, Matt was chosen to be a volunteer..check out the pics of him and the jazz lady!!! We ended the day watching the Disney Parade as the lights came on...it was magical!
We had 3 day park hopper tickets, which included the California Adventure Park, so on Tuesday we spent the day there. The park was built sometime after Disneyland so it includes a lot of the more 'scary' rides. The 'California Screamin'' rollercoaster was INSANE!!!! I screamed the whole way through, but loved every minute! We also went on a ride called the Maliboomer....an antigravity ride, which I HATED....my language took a dive during this one...it's surprising that I didn't have a heart-attack!!
On our last day we stood in queues to get pictures with the various Disney stars for Connor, Hannah, Erin and Ella...as we had been instructed! And then visited a few rides that we wanted to do again!
By the end of 3 days we were exhausted..we had walked for miles each day, but it was worth it!!
We loved our time at Disney - everything is done so well and it is SO worth visiting, no matter what your age! In fact, if you are older and want to relive your childhood its the perfect place to be!
