Hi everyone

Haven´t written for too long but will do a quick run down of our recent activities and will rill in more detail at a later stage.

After our Spanish course in Bariloche, which was great and so worth it, we headed to Mendoza the wine region on Argentina.  We were a bit disapointed in the town as we head heard so much about it, it was actually the town that we felt the least safe in too. Anyway, on our first night in Mendoza we headed into town for a really nice meal and very good bottle of wine, seeing as we were in wine country...the wine was fantastic, the food not as good but we still enjoyed ourselves. On the Saturday afternoon, we headed out to do a bikes and wine tour (the t-shirt slgans were : I drank and rode etc). We were joined by an Aussie girl, a Canadian guy and an English guy. The bikes left a bit to be desired though _ Matt?s ended up ceasing up before we got back to the shop! We managed to fit in 2 wineries and then a final trip to the liquer and chocolate place...that was interesting! More on that soon.

We are currently doing the Northern and Southern circuit with our English friends Dave and Amanda. We hired a car last thursday and have had an amazing time so far. The North West region on Argentina is stunning and the scenery is really diverse. There are loads of cactus plants and red mountains and you could often think that you are in the Wild West! Apparantly Butch Cassidy was in this area so we aren?t too far off! We have been treating ourselves this week too and staying in some really nice boutique hotels...really makes a change from hostels for a short repreive! The last hostel we stayed in was so dodgy...the bed linen was threadbare, there were quite possibly bed bugs and the place smelled like sick = seriously...so we felt like we were in heaven the first night away from that!
