I've spent four days in Jaipur now and tomorrow I'll be leaving for Delhi. We arrived in Agra yesterday night after the train ride from Khajuraho. Maxi was here a couple of weeks ago, so he new some nice people who had a guesthouse. We took a walk through the already dark town, down to the river Ganga. It looked dirtier and smelled a lot worse than in Varanasi, leaving a sulphurous smell in the air. After leaving Varanasi we went to Khajuraho, a small town where they have many old kamasutra temples. We arrived before sunrise and found a decent guesthouse were we had a few more hours of sleep. Later we went for a walk around the area with most of the temples. It was really nice, hardly no people at all and the sun wasn't too hot in the late afternoon. I've just left crazy Varanasi after spending four nights there. I flew from Goa to Varanasi in five hours instead of spending 36 hours on the train. Of course it was probably ten times the price, but I gladly spent that extra money on the smoother alternative. I met up with my friend Maxi again and some of his friends. I'm lying in bed in a nice clean room with a balcony view from the 7th floor. After the huts we've been staying in the last two weeks it's nice to have solid walls and no insects or frogs or cockroaches sharing the room.
