I'm lying in bed in a nice clean room with a balcony view from the 7th floor. After the huts we've been staying in the last two weeks it's nice to have solid walls and no insects or frogs or cockroaches sharing the room.
I got a fever the night before leaving Hampi, so I was pretty fatigued when we left. I took a couple of painkillers and managed to sleep most of the bus trip. Luckily my boyfriend had recovered from his heatstroke, so at least we weren't both knocked out at the same time.
We arrived at 4 am in Margao and found a hotel close by. We slept a couple of hours in the lobby before we got to check in. We slept a few more hours and then ordered room service for breakfast.
It's crazy how much more you get if you add a few hundred rupies on a room. It feels like hundreds of rupies is a lot of money, but one hundred rupies is about the same as one euro or ten Swedish crowns, so really no money at all.
You can get by so incredibly cheap here in India, but it's definitely worth to indulge in a bit of luxury now and then.
My boyfriend, Micke, left early this morning to fly back to Sweden and I already miss him.
I'm going to take a lazy day and hope my uneasy stomach settles before I fly to Varanasi tomorrow. I'll meet up some friends there so I'm really looking forward to it!
Peace
