random picture of my stud cat Tyson. hes a G ok, so hada bit of stress after the last postcard from the DMZ day, left my bloody trainers on the bus, but after a few hours of drawing pictures to explain mon error, i finally got them sent back to me via the bus that was coming to pick me up. crisis diverted. mataus happy status resumed. hada fairly awful journey as usual, 14 hours cramped up with locals chatting their whiney language the whole way, but used to it now. met a frenchy called gabriel on the bus and it seems i am not a superb french lyrical genius as previously thought.. rit and harris, i will impress u guys upon my retourne.ahhr miss the days of chatting in random french/english back home.BON. but i had a good conversation with him, enjoyed speaking french.it all comes back. words like venir- to come. and malheuresment-unfortunately. BON nice ate some cool fruit and tried to sleep, and eventually arrived (oh yeah, also after confronting a vietnam guy for playing bad loud vietnam/indian tunes through is mp3 speaker phone.highly annoying. he didnt understand but soon turned it off anyway.so funny, none of the locals seem to care, even liked it, but us backpackers were all looking at each other either cracking up with laughter or insanity.mainly insanity and anger) anyway where was i, oh yeh got to Hanoi, got shooed into a free taxi into the center of town, (coz bus is too big for the pituresque little french streets) and arrived at a few guesthouses. staying in a cool room with air con and cable tv, 3$ each so 6$ for a double room. with hot shower too, trust me, thats a good deal. oh and free internet!!! so expect more ramblings if im bored later. apologies. so just went for a walk around town, found a nice french pattiserie and had some pain au chocolate and a fry up. gota be done. feel good now. gona get some much needed sleep, been a restless few days. then booking our halong bay tour..managed to get it down from 50 to 38$ by faking that we'd found cheaper ones around town. he got angry but in the end of the day he wants us to book here for 38$ at the guesthouse rather than nothing at all. ok, off fora kip now, then prob take a walk around the cetral lake and play a bit of footy before hitting a few bars tonight. the weather is perfect by the way, clear blue skies and baking hot. couldnt be better, especially as we're off on 3 day boat trip of halong bay, one of the most beautiful places on earth. hard life continues, hope everyone is well, speak again soon Tannage going well.
