Hellooo, quick update, everything is unbelievably amazing, and is certain to continue the same way. absolutely loving every single second in Bali. last few days have been so much fun. waking up at a cushty 10 or 11, having a gorgeous breaky, then down to the beach to surf till around 6 when it gets dark, then to dinner. never really have lunch coz we have a lateish breakfast, and are in the water all day, or playing footy on the beach. so even my mind is off food for a while! today for example, ive jsut had a 200g tenderloin pepper steak with chips and veg, for 21000rp, about 1pound50 hahahaaaaaaaaaa i love it. if there wasnt so many other things to do i could quite happily sit in the erstaurants all day every day lol. few days ago we went for a quality drive 3hours or so up the west coast to a really cool temple, checking out the beaches along the way. sampled some food in the villages, ate some weird tree bubble coconut grassy things, which somehow tasted like Haribo with a lush coconut shell. and had some ULTRA spicy food for 6000rp near the temple. i was on fire for about an hour, ate so much plain rice to recover i think i have left some sort of legacy with the locals. that evening we returned wandered for a bit before dinner, then on the way home got busted by the Bali Polici, the godam police, coz enzo forgot his helmet. its not a problem really if u get caught without a helmet, u can just bribe them a little bit. but i didnt have my wallet on me,so no liscence, and we were kinda gonig down a one way street the wrong way. so these 3 things caned us down a bit. was all kinda light hearted after i started talking about the world cup to the officers, and i managed to get their bribe down from 400,000rp, to just 200,000. about 15 quid. had to walk down a dodgy sidestreet with a cop and slip him the money whilst walking in opposite dierctions, was pretty funny. reaaaaaaaaally really almost asked for a photo with them, but thought that might have been too cheeky and didnt fancy a bali prison lol. enzo paid the bribe coz he was a flamin galah forgetting his helmet in the first place. so no worries for me, hes ok for monet so no worries for him, and overall, was a funny experience, and now i can say ive bribed bali policeman. after that, we went to the big nightclub, Bounty, and had an amazing night on the local spirit, pretty harsh stuff, and ended up playing the bongos with a local band who were playing on stage. really really funny. and some other guys we met from the beach put on the crazy masks and had to dance around the the front of the stage. then the dance music can on and we hit the club. was a great night, then today was another day in paradise, woke up around midday, surfed solid til 6, and jsut had that great steak.. ahh steak... :) giong to drive inland tomorrow to the ancient capital place and check out the paddy fields and stuff. then friday theres a big foam party all night long in Bounty in conjunction with the World Cup, so im pretty excited bout that. then saturday... come on england!!!!!!! hmm not such a quick update.. off to bed now to get an early start for tomorrow.. might have a cheeky chicken fried rice before bed tho.. ah so good
