no words can describe this place!
but ill try...
got a 6 hour bus from the capital to sihanoukville (sick of writing that word already...so from now on its SV) and chose to stay at an english run guesthouse as i was chattin to an aussie bloke on the bus who recommended it. damn was he right! hopped on a Moto and the driving put my backpack between his legs and so i had no space and was hanging off the back of this moped for dear life and its was chucking it down to- but still he swooped round the corners like a bloody racing driver..so i survived that just about and go to the place. its slightly on an incline and from the top of the dusttrack u can see the sea.. walk into the place and theres nothing else around apart from 2 other set of bungalows etc and anyway you walk into the bar, big wooden structure like something outa the beach film, then go through the bar and theres 15 gorgeous wooden bungalow huts.mines the one right by the bar. place is so new too, only built 2 months ago, and theres a board where everyone who has stayed so far puts up a photo and signs it as the pioneering settlers as it were!!! only around 100 so far i think. im just gona fit on the board which is really cool. bought a beer and started chatting to these fiiine girls, then hada game of fussball with them and 2 swiss brothers-absolute legends. after being introduced as the new guy and settling in, we walked down the 'road' to the beach and its was sooo so beautiful! nothing there either! really really unspoilt, and perfect white sand with clear blue warm water. theres 2 bars on the beachfront, one called eden, where they play chilled out tunes and the owners just sit there juggling and playing poi.we dumped our stuff and i ran straight into the water for a swim. so glad to be out of cities and towns! played some volleyball and footy and sunbathed until the sun went down.aaaaaar luvleeeeee.
went back for a shower and all met up for some proper good tucker, followed by a night of the funniest drinking games ever til i passed out in my room ready for another day of the same tomorrow.
here i am now slightly hungover, the place is so perfect that the hangover just kinda gets forgotten, and im gona grab some breaky in a bit then hit the beach.
tomorrow im going on a boat to the nearby deserted islands and beaches on the protected national parks, for some chilling out, sunbathing and diving. all for $10 american dollars! happy days.
see how i feel after the 2 more days, may stay longer, may head along to the next beach area. ok, cheers for reading! btw have a CD burning right now of all my photos and i'll get them on here as soon as
