The day dawns warm and peaceful.
Ali and Grete go into town to visit the central market. On the fruit stall they see huge strawberries and the stallholder passes them one each to taste. They buy some. Next is the meat stall, where the explain, by sign language, what they want, and come away with some nice slices of pork. Finally it's the turn of the egg-man; one douzane of his finest huelvos go in the bag.
They have a look around rhe old town; a myriad of small intersections and plazas, with numerous churches all accessed by small doors cut into in the giant, studded ceremonial wooden doors. They are at first gloomy until eyes accustomise to the light when the gilde alters, but otherwise plain interiors can be seen.
They return to the vans and we have lunch; a few pastries from a baker's shop.
In the afternoon we wander out along the seafront, and on our return stop and chat with a few other Brits.
Our evening meal is the pork from the market followed by some of the strawberries.
