Rode to Paradise beach and spent the morning there. Dropped scooter back and caught ferry to Playa. Caught bus to Tulum, met Hostel Sheck owners parents on bus, hostel full so got private room at weary traveler.

Walked along main strip, hired scooter ($250), rode around island, rode to northern tip, hitched a ride back to bike, rainy night.

Long bus trip from Merida to Playa, met girl from Merida studying photography, walked through Playa, caught ferry to Cozumel, found hostel and walked through City.
