Well the first six weeks are down and all is running smoothly. Marty has found work which was a relief, took longer than we thought. He has a casual contract with a local engineering mob, Maicon, which contract him out to Karara mine. Its an iron ore mine and Marty seems very excited about the opportunity. We were all very excited as we drove north heading to Gingin. Luckily it was a short drive as the girls were irritating due to excitement to be seeing Holly and Riley once more, wanting to know every 5 minutes "are we there yet?". The drive from Margaret River to Collie wasn't too long at all, under two hours which was fantastic. We drove thru Collie town itself to fill up with water before heading out to the lake to set up camp for the Easter period. There's nothing much to the town, reminded me of a slightly bigger Stanhope really (the town l grew up as a kid back in Victoria). Had a sense of country to it and that nothing moved too quick here.
