It was time to head to the Spot X surf camp where we were enrolled for one lesson and a nights accommodation! We have lots of photos to prove we met the first rule of surf camp: look good and stay cool, as we even managed to stand up on the boards. The waves were crazy - the perfect condition for learning! On the evening we had a few drinks and played cards with our new surf buddies. Rocking Banana!!!

Yesterday we stopped off in Byron Bay so we could take a day trip around Nimbin. Nimbin is Australia's Amsterdam a quiet town tucked away about an hour and a half from Byron Bay next to the Nightcap National Park and its dramatic rock face. We left Rainbow Beach in 4 x 4 with Martin as our first driver bombing it down to a ferry to take us to our new home Fraser Island! Today we travelled from Emu Park to Rainbow Beach! We were picked up first thing by our newest Oz driver; Uncle Buck! It was a long drive with two important stops along the way.
