WEBINAR I: "Caribbean Comeback"
I listened to the webinar named "Caribbean Comeback" on Sep30. The lecture was holded by Devin Kinasz who is the publisher of the Travel Week Agent. Editors made some interview of the people from the Caribbean and they talked about how the Caribbean travel industry is reopening. First, editor Kathryn Folliott interviewed with Neil Walters who is a Secretary Gereral, Carribean Tourism Organization. Interesting things that I found was that he stated that 26 destinations are available for tourists in the Caribbean islands. The challenges they are facing are air travel, loss of revenue, and planning. They are working hard to make sure everyone is safe at these days. The second interview was in between Cindy, the editor, and Virgiolo Russi, Managing director of Sales, International, Air Canada. What surprised me was that the bookings to Caribbean island have been quite good. It is not far behind from last year. I was so happy to hear that. He said that long term stay in good because you will be in 14 days quarantine in the island when you arrive and another 14 days quarantine when you come back to Canada. Total you will spend 1 month for 7 days trip.
