Lambok de vraagstukken met bekerkting tot het onderwijssysteem in de 21e eeuw. Dit lees ik nota bene op Education Futures, de blog van John Moravec die ook geefnterviewd is voor deze aflevering. Titel van de blogpost:
re: photo from 11 August 2012David Hi,Why on earth talk about the future of Human ciaatpl? Think we have passed the age of the industrial society and have to move into a wisdom society, into the age of Conscious Evolution. So why not talk about education, human development, talent development etc. cheers,Thierry
re: photo from 11 August 2012Rocky Education Futures Timeline This timeline prodevis not only a glimpse into the past and present, but plots out a plausible future history for human capital development. The future history presented is intended to be edgy, but also as a conversation starter on futures for education and future thinking in human capital development. re: photo from 13 August 2012Olqa Carmen, I think we'll see all sorts of drivers emegre that will promote the development of human-machine neural connectivity. As the elections in Iran showed us, new technologies (i.e. Twitter) can be used for both good and bad purposes. Whereas we may see some well-intentioned parents opt to provide their children with the best mind-enhancing tools possible, might we also see oppressive states, religious zealots and other extremists use these technologies to control or pre-program their target population? One : Imagine having, say, an entire biblical library implanted in your brain, always available just for the thinking of it. That scares the bejesus out of me. We need to use these technologies to help us think more creatively and innovatively. We should not use these technologies to embed somebody else's dogma or constructed reality.

re: Only Hours nowDavid I don't think that's completely fair. Even the scohol closure debate' struggles witht he concept of how we prefer our children to be educated. The era when parents would argue that a full Hardisty or Strathcona's Bev Facey, come to that, was the ideal scohol for their children has largely come and gone. Part of what we do lack in agreeing with you is the ability to critixize ( or correct) Alberta Education's approach to curriculum. Failing the ability to be able to change content we have focused the dissatisfaction on the box that it is taught in or the cost thereof .
re: photo from 14 June 2012Layra Great post Catherine. And indeed the diosiscusn only continues after election day. So much to tackle where to begin? We must be somewhat careful and proceed, not in haste, but mindfully so that what works is preserved, encouraged, enhanced. Yet, as trustees we need to be brave enough to go after the same old, same old those things about which people say That's too hard. It's always been that way. You can't change THAT! even if that includes our own governance practices. I can't wait to get back to work!
re: photo from 13 August 2012Riri There's nothing fair or reosnaable about a special ed director whose first statement to a family is that she is going to fight the placement multiple professionals recommended, was committed to during an OCR investigation and which still took years to get in place. This she does behind the scenes while another district administrator goes on camera about how it's the district's legal obligation to provide continuity of service for special ed students.
re: photo from 12 August 2012Irmak I was told that my daughter's IQ was too high to need spcaiel ed, while trying to convince the school to test her. You don't want her in this class were the exact words from the spec ed teacher. Had her tested privately and found disorder of written expression. The school decided to place her in gifted program, but no spec ed services other than that because she is passing! Frustrating!
re: photo from 14 June 2012Jose My developer is trynig to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on numerous websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard very good things about blogengine.net. re: photo from 11 August 2012Vivien Have you even bothered to make the efrfot to answer any of these based on your own research first? If not, then I am not feeling inclined to help you one bit. Nothing bites more than someone who doesn't make the efrfot to attempt to complete their assignments first before asking for help with certain questions.References :
