Soooo.... Day 2 in Hoi An. It's flipping hot. 36'c by day and 34'c by night. Started the day with a meander round the world heritage site. Shaz took trusty bike and me still not seeing love to cycle in this heat went by foot (which turned out to be quicker). We went to an ancient Japanese covered bridge before checking out some of the ancient local houses. Amazing they all came with cups of tea, now here is civilisation.
Then visited a really cool buddhist temple. They have giant conical incense which burns for a whole month! I started having visions of how to use this to improve the smell of second years. Hoi an is really beautiful and a bit like a fairy tale. They play music in the streets (this morning Disney) and it feels so strange like you are in the Truman Show or something walking and humming along.
Got my washing back this morning. Oh yeah for the clean clothes, that should see me through to the end now.
For dinner we walked the couple of ks across to Cam island and ate at a restaurant called the lighthouse. It was right on the waters edge looking across the bay to Hoi an. As the sun went down the most beautiful lightening storm broke out across the bay providing magical entertainment to accompany a beautiful evening meal.
Last day in Hoi an tomorrow time to hit the beach :)
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
