After leaving the Valentines it was off to Port to see if we could catch up with the Cameron Clan. We knew they had to go to Wauchope at 11am so we're trying to get there just after 10 to give them a hug. It was so great to see them, and Pete, Mary and Liam turned up too. Worked out that we could catch up again on Thursday for a BBQ dinner, fabulous Bonny Hills was a great stop, perched on the hill, with views out to sea. One of the days was a bit rainy so we took off for a drive out to Ellenborough falls, really stunning country out there. Lush rainforest pockets and dairy country.
Then it was down the coast to Old Bar,out from Taree. Fabulous stop in old school caravan park with not many others (they seemed to have a few too many rules for our liking) the beach was beautiful and the water fabulous, especially in the morning, tending to get a bit windy in the afternoons.
Next it was the drive to our last destination with about the 116 th setup, that is quite a few. Lucky last Jimmys beach, Hawks Nest. We did a little drive past Seal Rocks taking note to pop in when we are dogless, beautiful .
Very hot conditions, 30 deg plus, so Jimmys was a welcome sight, the water crystal clear, although the sand temp was unbelievable...... running!!!!!!
We have now got some rain, so a couple of days reminiscing about our trip and finishing off the last of the schoolwork for the year. Schools out for the Summer. A couple of days here then a drive down the highway to home, it's all a little sad and exciting at the same time. I really can't wait to have our own bathroom back......... I've seen quite a few on our journey that have seen me run for the hills.
