Finally made it to the art galleries. The most inspiring piece was a 20th Century English piece by J Hayes 'Zen and the art of drinking' as you can see from the blog picture.
After all that culture we needed to balance things up a bit. Wanted to see Predators at the flicks but ended up getting a couple of bottles of wine and going back to the hotel (the hotel was cheaper than the backpackers). On the way there we went through the largest casino I have seen.
This is the last day in Oz, we have a 6am flight to Auckland tomorrow.
So what has Oz been like? It has been good on the whole, however it has been extremely expensive. As a result we have drunk far less than every where else and we have had to camp most of the time.
It has been really good socializing with the locals, they are very approachable and more interesting than the backpackers here.
The red center has been excellent the pictures I took here are amazing. Melbourne has been a breath of fresh air when compared with Darwin.
Oz however is far too regimented for me, I am missing the madness of the other countries that we have visited.
