We set off towards Fitzroy one of the outer suburbs via the market. I have never seen so many cafes in Melbourne but Fitzroy is the epi center. Fitzroy is to Melbourne as Campden Town is to London. It has a bohemian look and feel with lots of street art, independant clothes shops, good music scene and veggie restaurants. In addition it has a more relaxed tolerant and friendly feel, it is easily our favourite city in Oz.
We were due to go out to somewhere musical, but both of us are not feeling that well. Instead we went to see Inception at the local IMax.
Feeling a bit better after the film we headed to a small live rock venue called The Old Bar. The combination of good atmosphere friendly locals and some interesting shots resulted it the best night out so far in Melbourne.
