Uurgh was the only thought going through my head the next day, a combination of the night before and a persistent cold. We set off late to look for the third coffee plunger to replace the one that I broke. We then went to see Ghost Writer at the cinema. We headed back via Melbournes oldest pub (1835) for a single drink. There are surprisingly few Saturday night revellers in Melbourne but a lot of bars, how they make a living is a mystery.

We set off towards Fitzroy one of the outer suburbs via the market. I have never seen so many cafes in Melbourne but Fitzroy is the epi center. Fitzroy is to Melbourne as Campden Town is to London. It has a bohemian look and feel with lots of street art, independant clothes shops, good music scene and veggie restaurants. Lamies tour mark II. We headed down to the botanical gardens and admired the inspired landscaping and plants. Although it was out of season it was very nice. We arrived to a wet and cold Melbourne (9 degree C max). Taking the cheap shuttle and being the last to be dropped off meant we had time to absorb all the new do's and don'ts that line the roads. We went out to first have a drink and then treat ourselves to an eat in meal. Finding an ambient place to eat was tricky, most places have a dentist look and feel.
