Traveling from the Ngorogoro we went through miles of flat treeless plains that contained the wilderbeasts (before they started to migrate). The place was also packed with zebras, impaller and gazelles (but no lions). At the seregeti (that had lions) I did not see one zebra or wilderbeast (strange that). The place was very beautiful with large boulder type hills. The long grass (unseasonal rain) made it difficult to spot things but a hippo fight and lots of bird...

From Arusha we arranged a local safari operator to take us round the park for a day. The guide was a cool dude but did not have much in the way of a sense of humor which made it quite entertaining for me. The crater was beautiful (plants growing everywhere) - it was where parts of Jurassic Park Was filmed. In the park we saw 4 out of the big five. A big lightening storm and a bar finished off the day

We set from Nairobi with the sterio loud, the music blared down on Nairobi as there are no sides in the truck. People in the shade under trees, selling goods by the side of the road or using their bicycles for transporting their goods looked round. Beers were produced and we were on our way. The adventure begins We are now in Nairobi Kenya, killing time before we start to travel down through Africa. The taxi from the airport made us feel that we were in Africa. With a long road and the wind behind us we managed to make the cars top speed (30 miles per hour).
