We survived Armenia without being bitten to death, we did the right thing getting a taxi to take us to a nice hotel - in fact we had a really good sleep. We decided not to go down to south Columbia due to cost and time. We are starting our long journey back to Caracas via Cartagena for Xmas. We are breaking up the journey by going to the La Cafetaria region where most of Columbian coffee is grown. In addition to getting a nice coffee the main reason to come here is for the scenery and nice walks. It took us until 4pm to find a special place to stay in Cartagena for Xmas via the Internet. Being too late for the planed museum we went shopping instead. After only three hours sleep, we had to get up to change rooms. Liz went back to bed whilst I tried to back up my photos - that pretty much sums the day up. In the evening we went to the rock bar for something to eat. Back at the hostal people were planning to go out, we might have gone but we got under the duvet to keep warm and then fell asleep.

Back at the Cranky Croc we caught up with the gossip from the Irish guys. They also had a hard time with the hangovers but now seemed fit enough to plan a return to the Zona Rosa club area.
