The day was very cloudy so we decided to wait until tomorrow for seeing the ruins. The gap was partly filled by taking the longer route back from eating at Via Via.
Copan like everywhere else in Central America has pavements that would not be out of place on an assult course. Most people here don't use them unless of course there is a car breathing down your neck. Copan roads however are cobbled but not with uniform cobble stones like you see in Europe, here they use simple rocks. When you are walking in worn thin flip flops the concreted flat surface of the pavement becomes more appealing.
To get to the point and to explain the foot in the blog picture. Liz was walking past some kids playing - one of the boys was doing an amusing imitation of one of the girls. I pointed him out to Liz who for a split second took her eyes off the pavement and badly stubbed her toe.
The poor little lump is feeling very sorry for herself as she limps around - I had to get crisps for dinner.
It is the weekend, it seems as if this is party central for locals here abouts. Loads appeared from somewhere and they are a roudy bunch too.

Pavi Great pictures! That place has rellay developed since I last saw it. We need to check it out as there are some neat shops and eating places.I entered the dessert contest Saturday night that the Pathfinders were having for a fund raiser along with a meal, drawings, etc. I was shocked out of my chair when they called me for first place and the $250 prize! Will tell more about it in my letter but you are getting a heads up! Love, Grandma T
