Magnetic Island is mostly National Park with more Koalas than you can shake an ecalyptus stick at haha! We qualified as scuba divers over a 4 day course with 6 dives in Nelly Bay and did a 4 hour fishing trip where we caught a remora fish (threw it back) and one other guy nearly landed a massive yellow fin tuna but it broke the line at the last minute. After catching a ride up from Fraser Island with a couple we met we all set sail on the Habibi. 24 people plus 3 crew for 2 nights on a cosy sailing ship! Hey, we stayed with Simon down in trendy New Farm for a week or so. We took in the sights of the ciy on the citi cat and sighted thousands of flying fruit bats in the evening.
