Magnetic Island is mostly National Park with more Koalas than you can shake an ecalyptus stick at haha! We qualified as scuba divers over a 4 day course with 6 dives in Nelly Bay and did a 4 hour fishing trip where we caught a remora fish (threw it back) and one other guy nearly landed a massive yellow fin tuna but it broke the line at the last minute. We went horse riding at Blueys horse ranch where we rode along the beach, bush and even took them in for a swim in the sea. We stood on their backs (tricky enough without the waves washing over the horse's backs). We even startled some wallabies as we rode. Magnetic Island = highly recommended!
