1st Nov Moscow
Hey it's great to feel fresh air again after being on the train that long I had forgotten how to walk..
Today we have a guide meeting us @ 08:00 bit early but our flight to the UK is @ 17:00hrs. The last night of our trip was spent enjoying 1 or 2 very nice vodkas well when in Russia!!!
Elana takes us on the metro to Red Square this was an experience in itself chandliers hanging from the ceilng and perfectly clean. amazing it was built in 1935 and the trains have never stopped running.
There is light snow on the ground around the Red Square which just adds to the mystic of this place. We watch the changing of the guards all done to perfection. never a goose step out of place..The Kremlin was a coldplace lots of buildings not open to the public however we did see The largest Cannon in Russia which has never been fired, and the largest bell which cracked in the cooling process so has never rung..
We were lucky enough to hear the Orthordox monks singing Wow how beautiful, could make a grown man cry. enjoyed it so much we bought the cd.
Our quick visit is now over and we are heading for the airport for our final flight home.
Wonder what its going to be like seeing our family and friends again.. How will we ever adjust back to reality??
One amazing year comes to a close, !!!!!
