Today was spent just getting back to London so we could prepare for our flight to Verona, Italy. Our flight leaves tomorrow morning at 6:50, as such we have a room at the Hampton Inn which is connected to Gatwick North Terminal. When we got up this morning, there was no rain, mist, or fog and the view of the castle was quite clear. Of course it is we are leaving so the weather turns nice. The flight was to London was fine except delayed about 1/2 hour due to the traffic flying into Heathrow. As usual our flight parked at the furthest possible gate from the terminal, carrying Robyn's 80 lb. carryon lengthened my arm by two inches, I will need shoulder surgery after this trip. Our last day has arrived and it does seem like we have been here for more than just two weeks. I guess the constant travel from city to city has made this seem longer but it has been enjoyable but I will be glad to get back to Dallas. Today we headed out to Greenwich with plans to see the Cutty Sark (and yes the scotch Cutty Sark is named after this famous sailing ship), the National Maritime Museum, and maybe the Royal Observatory. Today we left Paris after another wonderful stay but much shorter than last time. We caught an early Eurostar to London so we were out of our hotel by 8 and on our way. Getting on the Eurostar is a bit hectic because you have to go through UK Passport control before boarding the train. Once we got on, everything was smooth and we got to London on time.
