just a short update today to let you know we made it to the red hot heart of Australia. It took a flight of 2.5 hours and a drive of 5.5 hours but Tess and me made it to our Desert Gardens hotel, not far from Uluru.

The wifi here is very slow in the room, so hopefully I can write tomorrow a longer update. It's great fun to be on the road and to feel free. The landscape was beautiful, with the red sand, the green trees and the blue sky. And then the moment when you get the first glimpse of Uluru, magical moment for sure!

Tess did most of the driving, but I took over the last 1.5 hour or so. It's all sbout getting used to the car and to driving on the left. It took me a couple of times, but now I can handle the brakes too haha. :)

I have no idea what we will do tomorrow but one of the options is camelriding. Please don't laugh, i did that enough already. ;) We'll see when we wake up. For now we're just being tired and will make it an early night.

So happy to be here and I can't wait to touch that big, fat red rock. :D Viva la vida!
