Sydney - (day 3) didn't start off too well, as Tony's phone was ringing at 5.15 am (cold caller, who got a short sharp response). We ended up sleeping later than we meant to, and then didn't really feel like doing much. We walked to 'The Rocks' area, where some of the houses look like English back-to-back Victorian terraces, then went to have a look at where people go to start the Harbour Bridge climb. Some signed photos on display showed that, among others, Bruce Springsteen has done it, and a wonderful 100 year old lady, but even that wasn't enough to convince us it would be a good idea!
We had enjoyed the ferry ride the previous day, so decided to get a different ferry, to Watson's Bay, home of the famous Doyles' Fish and Chips restaurant. It would have cost 13 dollars for a portion of fish & chips ( from the harbour side outlet, not even from the main restaurant) so Tony decided to wait till we go to Blackpool! We did have a nice walk up to the Gap Bluff, which reminded me of the Cliffs of Moher, but less windy. We sailed back and had our nightly return walk through the Botanic Gardens to see the flying foxes, then packed up ready for our early morning airport shuttle, and our flight to Alice Springs.
