About Us
Galapagos
So here we are, back in our hotel in Quito again, after 5 days and 4 nights cruising around the Galapagos Islands! It was an amazing experience, especially all the deep water snorkelling - we swam with giant turtles, marine iguanas, penguins and sea lions as well as numerous kinds of beautiful fish. The first time we went out, so…
After years of talking about it, and months of planning, we are finally off on our Big Trip! We'll start with cocktails and coral reefs in the Cook Islands, move on to camper vans, tramps and old geysers [apparently not the same thing] in New Zealand, and if we manage to avoid Boomerangs, Bunyips and Bilabongs in Australia, we'll finish with a trek along the Dragon's Backbone in China. We hope to keep you up to date with our progress through these Tales of the Unexpected.
And in our…

Jessica Hi - what eco lodge did you stay at? Would you recommend it? How were the excursions?
re: The Amazon JungleHelena Awesome list, Cody! For someone like me just stnraitg out in the blogging world, this is insanely valuable. I'll probably be spending the rest of the day exploring these resources. Cheers.
re:Pedro How did I miss this post last night? You really got to ernexiepce quinoa in a big way, didn't you? Lucky you! :-) I had no idea it came in all those colors either! I only knew about red and white quinoa. And all those snacks made from it and power drinks? Hey, we're being seriously deprived here on the quinoa front! Now I'm going to be on the lookout for quinoa in other colors! (Wonder what a bowl of all the colors mixed together would look like!)Those plants are really beautiful. They'd make nice edible landscaping in the right places!
re: Tupiza to UyuniRajni "但願這小 ad-hoc 事件提醒我們要隨心所欲、盡情享受" Day in and day out routine city life wears off our 隨心所欲. Life is too short to be bog down by "正路". We fgoort how to live the moment and enjoy what we have. Isn't it great to be on a trip like this?! Have you experience the feeling that "I'm living my life" and "life is so freakin' awesome"
re: Puno and Lake TiticacaRabah I don't understand why aonyne who is traveling on this beautiful island would want to fly. You get stressed out at the airport, you get stressed out on the plane and once you have landed at you destination and get to where ever it is you are going you are so tense and tight that you need a few hours to get it out of your system.
re: photo from 17 March 2012Mohmed sounds great! and there's no reason you coduln't _extend_ this for the walking assignment. of course there's plenty of scope for overlap main thing is get cracking, as you have less than 2 weeks to complete this one!
re: Ibera Wetlands day 2Jessiane Wonderful blog! I truly really like the way it? s easy on my eyes also beucase the data are well written. I'm questioning how i may be notified whenever a new post continues to be made. I've subscribed to your rss feed which require to do the trick! Have a great day!
re: PotosíNina You should tell him at your going to the aioprrt to pick up a friend or family relative and secretly pack his case of clothes he might wear depeding on where you are going. But anyway once you get there tell me that you have to meet your relative/friend outside the bording gate and then your flight gets called just pull him into the ticket area and jump on the plane and once you get off tell him where he is and say happy early birthday I done it with my boyfriend worked wondersYou can try doing that kind off thing.
re: photo from 17 March 2012Debora U can try Craigslist in your area or advertise in other city's near you. But make sure you are safe about the poplee you meet always take a friend with u when u meet them and meet in public areas but i have hared of a lot of poplee meeting travel partners on that site.
re: photo from 17 March 2012Marko (Paperback) I bought this book bforee driving from Savannah GA to Los Angeles CA at the begining of this summer and I thought that this last edition (april 2010) would have been updated, but it wasn't. We tried to go to a BBQ restaurant they suggest in Memphis and when we got there it was not only out of business but it was also in a sketchy neighborhood. The information about Graceland was incomplete, no address at all, only a website (if you buy the book is because you don't have internet in the car or phone right?). A good thing that the book has is a map with milage and time between major cities.
