Hey guys,

Since our last blog we arrived in Munich and it had snowed on Christmas day and there was still snow around. We went to Dachau concentration camp which is now a memorial site and it was very interesting but what a horrible history. The germans are very passionate about imparting the knowledge so that it never happens again. We then went to the Hofbrauhaus which is the biggest beer hall in munich and had a traditional bavarian dinner there and 1L of beer (in 1 cup). Next day we went up to Neuschwanstein castle, this is the castle where the lake out front inspired swan lake. It was very beautiful as it was surrounded by snow. The next day we did a walking tour and found out all about hitler and munich history. Then this morning we got up and caught a 10:30 til 12 train and arrived in Salzburg. Accomodation is very hard to find as it is NYE and we could only find places that cost $600 a night so we are heading out on a train at 1:30am on the 1st of January for venice (which is in just under 3 hours). However in the short time we were here we have fitted in a sound of music tour which went for 4 hours which was fantastic. Hope you have all had a good NYE and u dont wake up with 2 much of a hangover. Love MAR
