G'Day
As we did not have any dinner last night the first port of call was a big breakfast to fill our hungry tummies!!!
Once this had been devoured we booked our trip to the Blue Mountains for Friday then we were off. Our first stop of the day was the chinese gardens (recommended by mum) which were really good. They are a tranquil place right in the heart of the city. The lake is well populated with huge koi carp and the heron flying around knew this as well. We also saw a big spider, not sure what type but it was enough for us to be wary when we went near any trees!!!!
In the middle of the lake there was a huge lizard basking on a rock and posing for people taking pictures!!!
There were also many things chinese in there as well including a beautiful tea garden.
It was midday when we left the gardens and headed through Tumbalong Park to Darling Harbour for a look around, this is where we stopped for lunch (yes the breakfast was not enough to fill us!!!) in one of the bars and rested our legs.
From here it was the familiar walk down George Street to Circular Quay where we took the ferry over to Manly and spent the rest of the aftrenoon on the beach, which was really nice although a bit blustery. We returned on the ferry just as the sun was setting and got a really nice view of the bridge, after we disembarked we took the train a couple of stops then jumped off (when it had stopped) to go to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner which was really nice as well. Once again we have had the best day and tomorrow we have the Blue Mountains to look forward to.
Lots of Love
