Namaste

Today is another milestone for us on this trip as it is Day 300, the days are ticking by so quickly especially here where each day is packed with things to do.

We started our day with breakfast on the hotel rooftop where the sun was beating down on us and it was only 8.45am!!! We had a great view of the lake this morning and as usual all you could hear were car horns.

Then it was back in the car (it has been nice to have 2 car free days) for our long drive North East to Pushkar. Firstly we weaved our way out of Udaipur through the tiny streets then the road spread out in front of us although it was slow going as the road was single carraigeway and full of slow trucks. Raju spent the next 6 hours moving in and out of the trucks while we sat back and enjoyed the views and sights from the small villages we passed through.

The car was baking hot so the windows stayed open for the whole journey and after 6 hours we could stretch our legs at our new home for the next 2 nights. Pushkar is a holy city and is totally vegetarian but they also do not eat eggs or serve milk, but worst of all it is dry so no beer!!!!!

It is just getting dark here and will eat then plan our day tomorrow which will be temples and ghats with a visit to the lake I think.
