Hi Guys
After the best nights' sleep we have had in almost one year we stirred and made our way for breakfast. We did have the option of getting breakfast in bed but I was scared if we did that I would never have got Mel up all day!!!
The choice for breakfast was so immense they had 8 types of juice and 4 types of milk and you could have anything to eat from avocado to bacon and brie to strawberry cornflakes and about 10 types of doughnut, needless to say breakfast alone took us nearly 2 hours especially as they kept the tea flowing!!!
Over our extra long breakfast which nearly turned into brunch we formulated our plan for the day which didn't even involve steppimg foot outside. Our first stop was the Radiance Wellness Centre for our jacuzzi and sauna but being India there were separate facilities for men and women but it meant that I got some peace and quiet for a while. Even big hotels are not immune to power cuts and halfway through the jacuzzi all the power went off and the bubbles stopped so we had a short delay while everything got sorted out.The sauna was excellent but I sat watching the temperature rise and at 110 degrees I had to bail out to the chill shower as it was just too hot.
I met Mel in the lobby and she told me that when the power had gone off the lady had to get a man to reset all the jacuzzi and he entered the ladies jacuzzi area with his head down and never looked up the whole time he was in there sorting it out which made her laugh a lot, as being from Yorkshire she is not used to so much chivalry.
By now it was time for lunch, yes food again as for some strange reason the breakfast that had filled us up earlier had worn off. Lunch was a short affair in comparison to breakfast and then we headed to our room to wait for the masseuse to arrive for our complimentary foot massages. These were going wonderfully well and relaxing us both till I kicked over the bowl of water my feet had been soaking in and it seemed like the hoover dam had burst the water was everywhere and we had the two guys scrambling around mopping up with our fresh towels from the bathroom, when I tried to help they insisted I just sat still, I think it was a polite way of saying sit still stupid. Mel must have been relaxed as she never even flinched she just laughed a lot!!!!!
What remained of the afternoon saw Mel dancing around the room smiling a lot to the music blaring through the IPod and TV and me catching up on diary entries before dinner.
We are just sat in the private lounge in the hotel (you need to swipe your room key to get in, keeps out the riff raff!!!!) enjoying our complimentary drinks which I will have a few of tonight as tomorrow is the day when we get presented with our bill, but we don't care what it costs as it has been the best way to end this epic rollercoaster of a journey.
Stay tuned for the penultimate blog and the last one from India tomorrow.
Lots of love
M & M
