WellAfter the Long boat trip from Surat Thani to Koh Pha-Ngan (3hours), we decided to check out our accomodation we had bought previously in Bangkok.. When we arrived we had to walk down this little dirt track off the road, but when after about a minutes walk we came to this lovely set of Beach front bungalows set under palm tree's and about 10 paces from the beach! Thought we were right in there... found the Owners - This really cool Thai family who turned out to be quality! Then we were told that the Bungalows were all full ( even tho we had paid for one) and we were staying in nothing more than a Shed! It wasn't very good at all - a room with a bed and Thai style toilet, basically a hole in the floor.. The best thing there was a Fan we made the owner get, which was brand new as he'd just jumped on his moped and bought it! lol. It was quite funny, but we managed to blag a Beach front bungalow for the second nite and i'm not even kidding - It was awesome! One step off the decking and we were stood on the beach.. check out the pics. We met couple of lads - Sean and Lucas, who we later went to the Full Moon Party with... They were staying in the bungalow next to us. We met up with them in the bar/restaurant of the resort for a few pre-party drinks and met Katie and Fi too who the guys already knew. We ended up sharing 'Buckets' - which is a combination of rediculously Strong Thai Whisky, coke, and Thai Red Bull (which is so strong the reccomended limit is only 2 a day!) - so yeah we were pretty much on our way.. Packed into a taxi and off we went. It was almost like the streets of San Antonio in Ibiza but full of Every nationality you can think of.. every stall had more buckets for sell (around 250 Baht). So why not get another... Headed to the Cactus bar and all bought UV paint and covered each other in it. Paul left his trainers in Koh Tao because they were Ruined... The bar backed onto the beach and it was full of people everywhere - there were 10's of thousands of people on the beach, all wasted and dancing away. It was crazy as we walked up the beach to check out each bar and different genre of music every minutes walk. The Fire Dancer's were Great Too! We headed to Mushroom Mountain for a few shakes and a chat.. Laughed away a good few hours up there, then headed back down to the beach absolutely wasted, for a dance! There were bodies eveywhere of people just asleep on the beach and around 6am we left and headed back! Got back to the resort and smashed open some Fresh Coconuts recently fallen, and drank some Coconut milk as the sun came up.. A few people strolled back and told us of their troubles - 2 girls lost everything they owned! Idiots! This was the best part of our trip so far!
