Have spent the last few days in the quiet, lazy city on Luang Prabang, which had many temples, endless markets and french bistros! From this city we have learnt that lao people like to seperate you from your money in any way possible, through temple entrance fee's, bridge crossings and not including rice with your meal! Luckily my dad and his wallet where on hand to help us with this, which kept us well fed (korp jqi lai lai).
We have spent the last few days away from the city centre, as we found that we could cover all the sights in about half a day. Yestauday we went kayaking in the nam ou river, which was a nice change from the blazing heat of the centre and showed us the tranquil atmosphere of village life, we both enjoyed the kayaking, but are feeling the effects of it today! Today we decided to take bikes out the in midday sun, which wasnt the best idea and caused me to spend the rest of the day lying under a fan sleeping!
Looking forward to leaving for Vang Viang where we can go tubing down rivers, climbing up rocks and getting lost in caves!
