We took a week away from travelling to rest in Hong Kong, where Rob could heal his wounds and put on some much needed weight. However not much resting got done and whilst Rob had double portions of food, his weight remained the same, whilst my weight seems to be expanding by the minute and am now unable to do the top button up on my shorts. However we had a lovely time in Hong Kong, staying with a lovely family with 3 energetic kids, one was so energetic he broke his arm the second day we were there. We spend much of the week playing games with them and watching too much TV.
We did manage to get some sight seeing in, we visted the very expensive shops (at least very expensive in comparison to Thailand and Vietnam), went up to the peak and saw some quite nice views of the city and took the star ferry across to Kowloon, where we decided to visit the space museam, which had an amazing imax style cinema, where we saw a film about sea monsters, it was very educational. We also decided to treat ourselves to a visit to the Science museam, which had room after room of hands on activities. We have never felt more like children.
It was very hard leaving the lovely house in Hong Kong, with the lovely family, where we got served amazing food to go to Kuta in Bali, which everyone advised us to avoid.
