After our bus ride up to the boarder crossing, we had a night there before getting ocross the river, which is the boarder. It is quite strange knowing that on the other side of a river only a few hundrede meters away it is a different country.

The next morning we headed over the river to get into laos and onto our slow boat. This first taste of the slow boat was not great as it was small an cramped, but we made it to our overnight stop. Here we gt our first taste of lao food, we liked it alot. By the time we got back to our rooms they were infested with flying bugs by the thousand, so we went on a killing spree with towels. The next morning the boat was much more spacious. This meant we could relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We also got a few bevvies in and got a bit merry. We ended up playing a masive card game with with around 10 other passengers, this made the time pass really quickly untill we got to our destination of Louang Phabang.
