Day 5 - up and at 'em! Nice big breakfast of well a few bowls of cerial no doubt to throw up again when i have to drive even if it is just going to be on the sand dunes im still going to be terrified as ive never even sat behind the drivers seat of any car/buggy/thing before but im sure the adrenalin will sort me out. We got picked up at 11am to go to the buggy place and my nerves were definently setting in. We got our 'almost' pep talk as no one appeared ro speak english just french oh what joy! We got all helmeted up and were told to sign a foreign worded disclaimer which going to the toilet appeared to make them forget that we had to sign it so legally we brake the buggy we dnt have to pay :D we got in the buggy and OMG i was terrified not just at the prospect of driving never to have driven before but also at the fact i could not see any sand dunes....anywhere. The buggy was an automatic, so thank god no gears but stillid never done this before. So off we we went and i had to turn right out of this area go down a curb and turn left...what actually happend was i pushed too hard on the pedal turned right, kept turning right needed to press the brake but accidentally pushed the acceleration harder and was about 6 inches away from crashing into an electricity pylon, good start! Everyone ran over to shout at me in french and turn me in the right direction and off we went at a speedy 6 kmph, which trust me for someone as scared as i was it felt fast. The place had sort of carved out some track in the sandy grass presumably for the driver to get used to driving the buggy thing. The track wasnt too hard to start with normal flat corners nice flat straights and then it happened, the corners were no longer flat they were on a slant which came the dangerous driving with highs of 18kmph which at one point did involve me nearly flipping the buggy and more french shouting/laughing and instructions to joyce to not put her hand on the outside of the buggy as im likely to break her hand if/ when i flip it, ill give joyce her due here i cant drive, she cant drive and she had the guts to get in a car with me, thank god she did tho i dont want to die alone. So after surviving the 'training' course we went onto the beach and the speed demon came out in me!! 35kmph...ok give me a break there was no windows it seemed a lot faster. The next part was totally not what i expected we turned and suddenly we were on a road so i figured out the reason we couldnt see any sand dunes was because there was none! We were going for a nice leisurely drive in to mountains. The remainder of the trip up was a terrifying blur of sheer drops, hair pin bends, no barriers and cars coming the other way, this went on gor about 6 hours, well about an hour but i swear it seemed like more and we got to the top. We stopped the buggy. We got out. We were alive!!! After myself and joyce hugged each other elated we were still alive. We had stopped outside this lovely little house aka traditional and a gentleman invited us in for a brew and some bread it tasted amazing! Im not sure if this because i was so happy to be alive or what. The journey down was a lot less terrifying, not because the roads were safer but because i was a bit more confident and fed :) we got back i gave our guide who'd been ahead of us the whole time a nice tip with a swap for a photo with him and off we went back to our hotel for a lie down to recuperate after what has got to be the most terrifying things i have ever done and ive jumped 12,000 feet out of a plane. When we got back it was about 2pm so i had a shower sat down for a bit and went for a wander to get some food obviously followed by a fee cats to make the meal more 'wild'. We went out again on the evening to le nil bleu and tried to avoid any boring conversations with the group of people who thought that going on a holiday was all about sitting in the sun doing nothing :/ yawn!! Roll on day 6 for marrakesh an all day trip so no walking around aimlessly in Agadir again
