Savely arrived in Kuala Lumpur last night after 8hrs bus driving for only 300km, it was insane. Everything started in Singapore by leaving the Hostel around half past 10 in the morning to get to the bus station to find out, when the next bus departs for KL... Unfortunately it was raining and me and another girl, who I met in the Hostel, didn't have a clue where to go... When we came out of the train station (we had to take the train to get closer to the bus station), we walked around for about 20mins with 20kg backpack on our back; it was raining and we didn't have an umbrella or anything that would have kept us dry. Finally at the bus station (by that time we were soaked as well as our backpacks) we were told that we had to wait 2hrs for the next bus... Ok, now it couldn't get any worse! So we sat there underneath a roof, still getting wet from the rain, and waited and waited... You can't imagine how happy we were when the bus started driving towards Kuala Lumpur at 1pm!
But we soon noticed that it actually could get worse - the A/C in the bus was just freezing and we entreated the driver to turn it down/off, but there was no chance to get even close to a postive result. So we tried to stay calm and not to think about it so much. Normally the journeys from Singapore to KL take about 5 1/2hrs, but it took ages for us to get to our destination. I told the accommodation in KL we won't arrive later than 7pm, but when 8pm went pass, I really got worried! Nearly frozen to death, tired and exhausted, we reached the capital of Malaysia at around 9pm in the evening. Afterwards we made our way to the Hostel by walking along the streets with our heavy backpacks and finally got there after 20mins. The rest of the night I can't remember because I probably fell asleep straight away. But unfortunately I woke up again around 5am this morning, because the people next to our room started talking, laughing, whatever they did to make noise... and because the walls between the rooms are so thin, I could here every single word they said. So the night was basically over. I couldn't believe it!!!
After a nice breakfast with toast, jam, butter, a slice of cake and tea, me and Beyhan booked a City Tour for 2pm. Before, we just walked around the area for a little while. I must say, it really isn't the worst location. Everywhere shopping malls, restaurants, shops, expensive Hotels - just great. And our Hostel was only half an hr walk away from the Petronas Towers (depending on the traffic, which is a nightmare here in Kuala Lumpur)
Well, our City Sightseeing Tour wasn't that bad; we were driving to different places like the National Museum, the War Memorial, the Presidents House I think, also to different Temples and mosques and stopped at some places always between 10mins - 30mins. BUT - because at the moment it's monsun season and you need to be aware of heavy rain every day - of course it started pissing down. Even the roads started to flood. So the rest of the Tour, which took 3hrs, we were just sitting inside the car. Luckily it stopped before we got back to the Hostel. Later tonight (I should say last night now...) we went out for dinner, cause it was Beyhan's Birthday. Her friend was coming as well. We had quite fun and returned to the Hostel around midnight! Beyhan and I still had a good laugh for a while back here... Now it's 3am in the morning and I am getting really really tired! Tomorrow we're planning to go to Buta Caves, 13km north of KL. Let's hope the weather will be on our side until we come back
p.s. Es tut mir wirklich sehr leid, dass ich immer alles in Englisch schreibe, aber es fällt mir leichter die Sätze zu formulieren *lol*
