Day 85 - Singapore

Well that hug from Singa the lion must have done me good as this is the first day since Bali that i've woke up feeling back to my old self, no headache or temperature so fingers crossed all better now!

Today we're off to Sim Lim Square a mall just outside of little india dedicated to electronics (paradise for Si then!) we're going to try and see if we can spot any bargains i'm keeping my eye out for an electric toothbrush and Si is looking for Mac laptops.

After about a 20 minute walk we arrive at Sim Lim mall, we've done our research and apparently the bottom 2 floors will rip you off and the higher the floor you go on the cheaper you will get what you're looking for so we head straight for the top floor to work our way down. Unfortunately the entire place didn't sell any electric toothbrushes :( and Si was unable to find a bargain for the mac that he's had his eye on but never mind. The mall is full of electronics, mainly computer, phone and camera stuff so definately worth a visit for anyone wanting that sort of stuff. We spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around some of the nearby malls and grabbed some dinner by the riverside.

After lunch we headed back to the hostel to put our feet up for a bit before packing up our stuff ready for the trip to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow, cant believe how quickly our time in Singapore has gone!

Since we're both feeling a lot better today and have our appetites back we decided to treat ourselves to a Cuban Tapas for tea which was absolutely gorgeous and completely different to any of the food that we've been eating elsewhere on the trip. We also got a Mojito each with tea and instead of mixing sugar in with it they just put a stick of sugar cane in as the stirer!

After tea it was back to the hostel for some last minute research on what to do in Kuala Lumpur before we tucked ourselves in ready for the long coach journey tomorrow.
