Day 5 - London/Santa Monica

We wake up at around 6:45am and jump on the shuttle bus to terminal 5 @ Heathow and head straight to check in, it's a pretty cool terminal (as cool as an airport terminal can be) and we head to get some brekky before the monster flight that awaits us. They have a 3D TV with 3D PS3 setup and i had to have a go (lets just say i shall be purchasing a 3d tele when i get back!)

On the plane i find myself sat next to a woman named Claudia from California and she's telling me all the places i have to visit while in Cali (most are already on my list) and the 11 hour flight is turned into a 12 hour 1 due to broken air con but as it's BA the plane was decent, the beer free and a choice of many films and TV shows to watch so it kept me entertained (i can't sleep on planes)

We finaly land and i don't feel too bad until i realise i've just traveled back in time 8 hours and it's now only lunch time, it's been a lonnnng day! We jump in a cab and head to our hostel where we check in throw our bags down and make our way to Santa Monica pier. After a wonder on the beach and pier we're both shattered and decide to stay awake till 10/11pm to get our body clocks sorted but by 8/9pm eyes were rolling and we needed sleep as we've been up for 24 hours, we grab a big slice of pizza and head off to bed ready for the next day.
