Sunday we drove to Sydney and checked into the Hilton. We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay. Had a stroll around Darling Harbour and dinner before early night. On Monday decided to get the ferry to Manly and have lunch. The weather was actually cool and blowing a gale. We still sat outside on the ferry and I always get a kick out of seeing Sydney Harbour. Cruised past the old Maritime School Mosman, Georges Heights, Quarantine Station on to Manly. Had lunch and a few bevvies at Hotel Steyne then back to the ferry. On the way back passed HMAS Penguin where in commandos years ago I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to conduct an early morning water jump then swim to shore. Back to town and a bit of a wander around. Heading back to the hotel coming out of Pitt St Mall there were cops and the road was barrriered off. It was the Premiere of Lion. We saw Nicole Kidman, Dev Patel, David Wenham and Keith Urban. We spent the evening in the Hiltons Executive Lounge. Early night ready for an early flight tomorrow
